Community Information Meeting Scheduled for Mega Site Water and Sewer Improvements
June 08 2017
(Greensboro, NC – June 2017) – The City of Greensboro invites the public to attend a Community Information Meeting for the Greensboro-Randolph Mega Site Water and Sewer Improvements Project. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Providence Grove High School, located at 5555 Mack Lineberry Rd, in Climax. The public is invited to attend anytime during the meeting.
The design of the water and sewer improvements along with maps showing the Project area will be available for review. The Project team will be available to meet with property owners and answer questions about utility easements and the utilities project process.
The Triad region is pursuing an economic development opportunity that may bring thousands of new jobs to our community. The Greensboro-Randolph Mega Site is planned as the home for a major employer that would provide new manufacturing and supporting jobs, benefitting the entire region.
As part of the Greensboro-Randolph Mega Site Project, the City spent the last two years completing preliminary field surveys and examinations of the properties along the proposed alignment of the water and sewer pipeline. Survey results were used to determine a design and need for utility easements. Once easements are acquired and permits are obtained, construction may begin.
